One of the best movies I have ever seen. Pure history, no hypothetical pasts, perfect balance between the narration of the personal conflicts and deliriums of the characters, especially Hitler himself's, and the ones of a brutal, merciless and senseless war. This movie touches various aspects of that reality really well, and goes deep enough in the psyche of the last important pieces of the Nazi state still alive, right before their deaths. Soundtrack is great, acting of characters is basically spotless, historical and war revival is really immersive and seemed to be quite realistic. I don't really know how to criticize this movie. 9.5/10

I love, love, love this film. I would give absolutely anything to be able to view it here in the USA. 'Downfall' has some of the best acting I've ever seen in a war drama. It's a bit of a lengthy film but if you watch the first ten minutes you'd see that it's kind of necessary to tell the story of the Battle of Berlin accurately. For a film about the deterioration of the Nazi leadership at the end of World War II, 'Downfall' manages to tell the tale through the eyes of a surprisingly human cast.

Seen this before and it was a simply flawless, powerfully acted film with amazing cinematography, however, I am not going to buy as this is not the director's cut, or rather doesn't seem to have the running time of said version in the description and I would love to own that version digitally.
