About this movie

Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner Fredric March ("The Best Years of Our Lives," "Anthony Adverse") won an Oscar as the title character in this classic tale of a determined scientist whose self-experimentation into the nature of evil leads to horrifyingly tragic results. Considered by many to be one of the best adaptations of the Robert Louis Stevenson novel, it received Oscar nominations for Best Writing and Cinematography. Co-starring Oscar-nominee Miriam Hopkins ("Trouble in Paradise").

This is the best film version of "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson.
