There was, however, an endless, steamy load of save the trees, big corporations and humans are mindless and greedy and ruining the earth, natives and nature are holy and pure, human guilt... propaganda. Now my son doesn't think he can play with sticks in the woods or leave the path that the evil humans paved through the park while ruining the lives of fluffy, holy animals. Ok slight exaggeration. Slight. Seriously, if you're gonna make a kids Dr Seuss movie make it about kids and Dr Seuss things.

The lorax is not a good film. I normally would have a better way to say that, but i dont respect this film enough to do that. The animation is ok, its illumination so, what did you expect? The charcters are either bland or annoying, and the worst of all is, the message is inconsistent. After half an hour of the film, all the songs and story being told, only now do they decide they have a message, and make a generic song about nature. Its a harmless kids film, but generic kids film.

If you've seen the nostalgia critic review this or just know this, the lorax isn't supposed to have a definite bad guy, it's a moral message about pollution and the reason we never see the once-ler's face in the book is to say this could happen to anyone.(those are all points that the nostalgia critic made in his review of that movie, I'm just spreading the word)
