The Cinephiles
A study of the human mind in the midst of a paranoid atomic apocalypse. Comedic and as timeless as its creator, "Dr. Strangelove" is a marvel of comedic cinema. With outstanding performances by Peter Sellers, Slim Pickens, Keenan Wynn and George C. Scott, this film allows us to see the darker side of comedy while indulging us in a beautifully light and lovingly constructed cinematic treasure.
Alexander Laye
This movie excellently captured the serious and nervous nature caused by the bomb to people around during the Cold War. It then took that seriousness and subverted it to great comic effect. All in all, I would recommend this move to anyone, 4/4. One time a guy fell down, that was a nut.
Roberto Toro
This film, without a doubt, was interesting to analyze both from a cultural and international relations standpoint. The premise, of course, is the failure of the Deterrence Theory, and MAD becoming a true thing. Only Kubrick could deliver a film as serious and as hilarious as this, and I wish that the sequel had been made as planned.
