About this movie

Witness the origin story of one of legend's most captivating figures in the action-adventure, Dracula Untold. The year is 1462 and Transylvania has enjoyed a prolonged period of peace under the just and fair rule of the battle-weary Vlad III, the prince of Wallachia (Luke Evans, Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit series). But when Sultan Mehmed II (Dominic Cooper, Captain America: The First Avenger) demands 1,000 of Wallachia's boys -- including Vlad's own son -- become child soldiers in his army, Vlad must enter into a Faustian bargain to save his family and his people. He gains the strength of 100 men, the speed of a falling star, and the power to crush his enemies. In exchange, he's inflicted with an insatiable thirst for human blood that could force him into a life of darkness and destroy all that he holds dear. Good effects. Interesting twist to the vampyre legend - but... leaves too many questions unanswered and opens the way for many more to be asked. Obviously lined up for sequel (Dracula - Rewritten) but prequel would be much better. Tries to be 'the' love story not a patch on Bram Stokers Dracula tho

This was a terrible adaptation and could have been better had the makers not got too carried away with game of thrones,literally.. Charles dance couldn't have been more obvious and it sounds corny his less than subtle scriptwork as it just isn't game of thrones. Luke Evans wasn't convincing as a Vlad. His voice and acting just didn't click. Vlad needed to feel more vicious, hungry, determined and bloodthirsty. Poor choices for what couldve been a good film.

One of the better takes in many years to tell a tale of dracula, it had some very beautiful parts too the film aswell as the cgi but I liked it mostly due to its reminiscence too one of my favourite games..the legacy of kain & believe inspired this direction for the film which definately works for me, a well deserved 4☆
