Past DBZ movies were loosely based on what was currently happening in the mainline story. This is perhaps the first step outside of what happened and timewise takes place between the end of DBZ and the start of DBGT. The animation is as good as it gets as a movie. But those who know the ol' DBZ movie formula may not find anything new in this. It's traditional in many ways and there isn't anything added other than the antagonist. If you've seen a bit of DBZ before, this is a good movie to view. But on the other end of the spectrum, those who've seen a lot can optionally skip it. Rating it 3/5 as one who grew out of DBZ.

The movie brought about a great deal of nostalgia and it was quite refreshing to see Goku and the gang reimagined in 1440p with the array of vivid colors. Beerus and Weiz (probably didn't spell it properly) are quite entertaining as well. I had a couple of good laughs throughout the film and I recommend it to anyone who grew up watching the series.

It was great but...... GT and the original timeline is WAY better they should have continued on after GT and used Goku jr. and the descendant of Vegeta Vegeta it would have been WAY better their should have been a show were there kids and grow to SSJ 3 and when they grow up and become SSJ 4 and maybe add in a new one like..... SSJ 5. That would be SO COOL.
