Shy teenager Nathan and his family have moved from one town to another trying to escape the domestic disintegration within their own home. Roy and his family live a quiet life on a farm. When Nathan moves in next door to charismatic Roy, the boys strike up a friendship as high school study partners. Their strong emotional bond soon takes a natural turn toward physical passion, a secret they must hide from those around them in their backwoods rural community.

The dialog and story line was week at times, mostly the beginning, the actors did a good job, thus saving the movie. It has an interesting ending, one that will make you think, I like that in a movie. I was able to relate to Nathan and his issues, which drew me into the movie more easily. It is a movie I will buy, wish there was more to the story!

wow. total wow. I'd not heard of this coming of age story before, but I am totally awed by it. Damn good job.

Pretty good movie. The ending in the book was way better but still recommend this movie to anyone.
