I really *REALLY* wanted to like this - I've been a massive Dune fan since I was a teenager - but I actually hated it. Too slow, too repetitive, and ends completely randomly. I hate to say it but despite its flaws, the 80s version was more atmospheric and waaaay more interesting.

Really feeling let down, there was no mention this was only a part. And despite the cinematography it did lack some depth of intention. So all in all, pretty much "yeah Nah" don't pay for it! It will be on the bargain shelf soon.

Very good. Quite epic. It is faithful to the book, for the most part, if I recall correctly. I thought the art and design was excellent. Looking forward to the next part. I wish I'd seen it on the big screen.
