I want my 1 hour and 30 minutes back. There was nothing impressive at all about this film. It's about a 7 day journey from Mars where humanity has settled due to some unexplained disaster on Earth that made it uninhabitable. Three people, 1 man and 2 women have been chosen to join the team to rehabilitate Earth. On the way the team members have hallucinations that threaten their sanity. Imagine a low budget version of Stephen King's "The Shining" with bad sets, lousy dialogue and poor acting taking place in space and you have some idea of what this mess is. Looking over the other review it seems the only people who like it are flagellating themselves with guilt over being human and "wrecking the Earth. When I saw the ratings on my Plex server gave this 2 stars I knew I wasn't going to see state of the art, but I was expecting more than this. Two thumbs down.

I liked the story and the acting was pretty good, but the dialog was a little weak. The "Vivan" character made it sound natural, but the others didn't quite pull it off despite seeming quite talented. The sets looked good and with what's in the news right now, the whole concept feels timely. The director made interesting choices with the out-of-order scenes and the like. It was a good way to spend an evening.

This is low budget sci-fi at it best. Definitely the kind of movie that Hollywood SHOULD be making, but isn't. Totally worth a watch. The story is gripping an original, which you can't say for a lot of movies. The trip to earth is harrowing, and the story keeps you guessing through the end. If you're the kind of person who doesn't like science fiction, give it a shot anyway. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The characters are relatable , even though they're traveling through the depths of space. Plus, you might learn something sciency, which is always cool, you know?
