Ben Givens (Tom Skerritt), a retired heart surgeon and recent widower, learns he has terminal cancer. Determined to navigate his final days on his own terms, he shares the news with no one - not even his daughter (Mira Sorvino) - instead traveling back to his boyhood home in Eastern Washington with only his dog in tow. But the journey does not go as planned; the familiar landscape triggers memories and a connection with a kind stranger (Annie Gonzalez) inspires new insight. C'était vraiment un bon film. Mais je pensais avoir une vision différente de la vie avec ce film. D'habitude avec les gens plus vieux (plus d'expérience de vie que moi). J'apprécie beaucoup leur temps et leurs histoires. Mais je n'ai pas appris grand chose cette fois-ci. C'est encore un très bon acteur. Même s'il en arrache un peu plus que d'habitude. Peut-être qu'il n'est pas comme ça dans la vraie vie. C'est peut-être juste pour le film. C'est pour ça que j'ai donné seulement quatre étoiles.
