Über diesen Film

Liz Gilbert (Julia Roberts) is a modern woman on a quest to marvel at and travel the world while rediscovering and reconnecting with her true inner self in Eat Pray Love. At a crossroads after a divorce, Gilbert takes a year-long sabbatical from her job and steps uncharacteristically out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life. In her wondrous and exotic travels, she experiences the simple pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of love in Bali. Based on an inspiring true story, Eat Pray Love proves that there really is more than one way to let yourself go and see the world.. MPAA Rating: PG-13 Rated PG-13 for brief strong language, some sexual references and male rear nudity.

I'm sorry to say that this movie was just about giving up. I don't even care if i spoil it because basically all the things that were giving her a rut were about to be fixed and she just said no AFTER whining about how there is no effort in whatever she was whining about. So she drops everything, and selfishly does whatever she wanted to do. It's nice to go places and travel, but seriously, this movie was a misleading vision of how women should be taking control of their lives. Just plain stupidity.

This was one of those movies that women can really relate to. I know I can. I never really wanted to learn Italian and I'm not sure that living in a prayer place like she did India would be for me but the idea that I can change my life no matter how far into it I have gotten is real and this movie is very powerful to me. Thank you for making it.

All these years of where men leave to "find" themselves were met with women lashing out at the guy doing that. Well, well, well....now there is a woman's point of view movie where she goes to "find" herself. You know, with regards to these stupid internal self awareness movies, people can easily soul search themselves by looking straight into a mirror and finding themselves right where they are.
