This film about Ed Wood's life (although not entirely accurate)is probably one of Tim Burton's best underrated films. Ed Wood was a low budget film maker/producer, Auteur to the extreme. For those who do not understand Ed Wood or his film-making, probably will never GET-IT. Judging by some of the reviews given. Tim Burton's view/interpretation of Ed Wood is best illustrated in this film. On my opinion, Tim Burton's choice to have Johnny Depp portray Ed Wood was wise. Great film!

I don't know why I didn't see this when it first came out. I'm glad I saw it now, though; very enjoyable. Depp's portrayal of Ed Wood reminded me a lot of a Jon Lovitz character. Landau was amazing as Bela Lugosi. I loved the B&W cinematography, too.

A dramatized version that tells a true story. Did Ed Wood really get funding for filming from some of the characters in this film?...oh yeah! Did he really employ Bela, Vampira (😱)and Tor Jonston?...oh yeah? What they only hint at is Ed was one of a kind, loved producing movies no matter what. Ed, I believe truly wanted to help Bela, some say he exploited him. I don't see how Ed was ever in a position to exploit the great actor. Depp as usual takes the character, and makes a five star film. I wonder if Ed Wood could have ever imagined that he would be the subject of a film like this🎥🎬
