Really good movie, the acting is superb, Nicholas Cage gives one of his best performances ever. The subject matter is especially brutal & the characters are some of the most despicable you could find - despite that it's a lot less sordid than I imagined. And there's nothing wrong with the aspect ratio, the film's called 8mm and has been made to resemble the look & feel of an 8mm camera. Highly recommended but just be warned the subject matter might be too much to handle.
