Rafael “El Gallo” Diaz is a single father struggling to make ends meet. Once an acclaimed boxer, a case of nerves cost him a shot at a championship fight and his career. He relegates himself to drug running for local mob boss Don Felipe. After being threatened by his vengeful ex he is approached by Don Felipe to come out of retirement and take one last fight. The fight orchestrated by a dangerous promoter only named “Carlos” could change Rafael’s life for the better, but also put him in the crosshairs of very dangerous people. Rafael, wanting a more substantial existence and to repair his damaged relationship with his father, decides to take the fight. As he begins to train he is faced with his past, an uncertain future, newfound love, and the need to be better for his daughter. Sometimes the fight extends beyond the ring and the final bell.
