Henry Cavill si obléká plášť Muže z oceli a Superman opět vzlétá - čelí minulosti, které nerozumí, a budoucnosti, před kterou není úniku. V hvězdném obsazení vedle posledního syna Kryptonu září Diane Lane a Kevin Costner v rolích Clarkových pozemských rodičů; Russell Crowe v roli Supermanova otce z Kryptonu; Amy Adams v roli reportérky Daily Planet Lois Lane; Laurence Fishburne v roli šéfredaktora Perryho Whitea; a Michael Shannon v roli Supermanova úhlavního nepřítele z jiného světa, generála Zoda, Mladý chlapec zjišťuje, že má neobyčejné schopnosti, a že nepochází ze Země. Jako mladík se vydává odhalit, odkud přišel a kvůli čemu sem byl poslán. Pokud ale má zachránit svět před zničením a stát se symbolem naděje pro celé lidstvo, musí v sobě nalézt hrdinu.

Hodnotenia a recenzie

A movie that asks the question should we even want Superman to save people from certain death and proceeds to show 2 hours of him never doing that. It finds the concept of mercy or compassion abhorrent and extols Randian values of selfishness and narcissism. Superman must "find himself" before he can find the value in saving people from tornadoes or crashes, because a real hero doesn't want to help you at all.

This movie was definitely more pulse pounding than I remember the big '78 film being. MoS is a well made slice of entertainment but when it was all over, it felt just overall rather meaningless. The concept of Superman was evident in its' title. His superhuman strength and out of this world powers were meant to serve as a circus of sorts. This film is trying to tap into a state of mind closer to that of Batman. It's not a regrettable watch but it's far, FAR, from being an Action Comics#1

Blasphmey from the simple fact of being called a savior in this film fiction or not. From the floating over the earth in space scene with arms strecthed out as if he is on a cross and is going to save the world.The list goes on from the church scene all they way to the fact they had him 33 yrs of age the same age jesus died all these things spoiled the movie for me and i was only 30 to 40 minutes in before i just turned it off shame on these movie makers for trying to mock god
