Írója, rendezője és producere az Oscar®- és Golden Globe-díjra jelölt Christopher Nolan (A sötét lovag, Batman: Kezdődik!, A tökéletes trükk), az alkotás a 2008-as kasszasiker után újabb egyedülálló látomás a megkapóan eredeti művésztől, aki minden munkájával magasabbra emeli a lécet. A világ számos városa szolgált a forgatás helyszínéül, köztük London, Párizs, Tangiers, Calgary és Los Angeles, a szereplők között pedig ott találjuk az Oscar-díjas Michael Caine-t és Marion Cotillardot, továbbá Ellen Page-et (Juno), Cillian Murphyt (Batman: Kezdődik!) és az Oscarra jelölt Ken Watanabét (Az utolsó szamuráj) és Tom Berengert (A szakasz).

Értékelések és vélemények

This movie deserves EVERY SINGLE last award it received! The premise is confusingly complex which is what makes it so genius with its flawless execution. All written, produced, AND directed by a one man mastermind named Christopher Nolan! It's amazing he executed all major roles of such a project with no doubt at the audience's expense! The epitome of a unique sci-fi, eye-widening excellence.

There are a few plot holes and way to much dialog and exposition, but I guess that's required when making a movie with this kind of concept. But the creativity is on another level. This movie will go from 20 minutes of boring exposition 20 minutes of breathtaking action sequences. This isn't the best choice as a casual movie to wanting to watch with friends, but is perfect for people who want to experience a masterpiece of filmmaking. I have seen this multiple times and still find new details.

They took a pure action movie and built a flimsy premise with useless dialogue around it like a plumber who shows up at a woman's house to fix her pipes in a porno. Plot holes weren't the reason we came to see this movie.
