You have thirty minutes.” The world is first introduced to Richard Jewell as the security guard who reports finding the device at the 1996 Atlanta bombing—his report making him a hero whose swift actions save countless lives. But within days, the law enforcement wannabe becomes the FBI’s number one suspect, vilified by press and public alike, his life ripped apart. Reaching out to independent, anti-establishment attorney Watson Bryant, Jewell staunchly professes his innocence. But Bryant finds he is out of his depth as he fights the combined powers of the FBI, GBI and APD to clear his client’s name, while keeping Richard from trusting the very people trying to destroy him.

I'm sure this is a fine movie. There are Russian subtitles though that pop up on screen every time there is any text (sign, newspaper, etc) on screen. It's not subtitles for the audio, it's subtitles for those who can't read English. I'm not sure if Google bootlegs their movies and charges full price, but this is a pretty lousy way to be interrupted in a decent movie. I could have paid full price anywhere else without the "bonus" feature.

I don’t care what actually happened in real life, people like the character portrayed in Richard Jewell are complete tools. The world would be a much better place without people constantly trying to mess with other peoples business. As for the movie, I think it’s overrated. The story isn’t that interesting... its dry and predictable. Also, watching this kind of character is so pathetic that it’s irritating.

Felt so politically charged. Im ok with a political movie but this felt so one sided that I was so uncomfortable. If I was the FBI Id do the same thing as those agents tbh. 2 stars tho because it was at lease well produced
