오래 전 어느 성탄 전야에 한 아기가 산타의 장난감 가방 안으로 기어들어 갑 니다... 요정(엘프)으로 자란 버디(윌 페렐)은 제일 큰 요정보다도 세 배나 큰 어른으로 자라며 그는 결코 북극에서 어울릴 수 없다는 것을 깨닫습니다. 성탄 계절에 버디는 자신이 진정으로 속하는 곳을 뉴욕 시에서 찾아 나섭니 다. 버디 산타의 “말썽꾸러기” 목록에 있는 그의 일벌레 아버지(제임스 칸) , 새엄마(메리 스틴버겐)과 산타클로스나 요정을 믿지 않는 10살 배기 남동생 을 만납니다. 여기서 버디는 그의 운명, 즉 뉴욕과 세계를 위해 성탄절을 구 하는 일을 발견합니다!

Humor for everyone. A one star review is a Grinch reply. I have watched every year since it was released and several times in between. I have purchased DVDs over the last 18 years, given as gifts, worn out my own copies and now have it digital.

I'm surprised people love this movie. I watched for first time recently and was thoroughly unimpressed. I like a couple of Will Ferrells movies but not this. His best is Step Brothers. I wont watch Elf ever again.

I'm reading this as a family Movie. Kids like it when they hit around 7 years old and up. It's one of those movies that even makes adults laugh and smile a bit.
