Being attacked in her home by an unknown assailant changes Michèle's life forever. ELLE is a bone chilling character study, more focused who and what Elle is than the shocking event that kicks off the narrative. This film is antithetical to American commercial sensibilities as far as movies go, but it is excellent.

Elizabeth hupert gives a really good performance in this movie. I wouldn't say it's a revenge film you couldn't really tell wether she's a victim or just a victim of her own emotional loneliness. It's well scripted I wouldn't ruin the plot for you but it's a good film.

Awesome movie with a unique lead character. It really is a study in how EVERYBODY handles trauma in different ways. That's just a quick summation, but I loved this one.
