About this movie

The four young filmmakers know the stories, they've seen the movies and they joke about it as they travel into the Swedish woods to shoot yet another low-budget horror movie. But though they make fun of horror clichés, there's nothing to laugh about when the group gets lost and one of the actors disappears only to return hours later, naked and in a catatonic state. As much as they try to figure out what’s going on, none of them have the faintest idea of what they’re about to experience, or how to explain what’s been captured on tape. With Encounters, breakthrough director Anders J. Bukh writes a new set of rules, as only Scandinavians know how.

Its not a bad found footage film but with few issues. the first is that the trailer reveals the big secret. and secondly it does tend to drag on toward the end, with me checking the time at around 70 minutes to see how long was left. the last issue for me was they tended to explain too much of the mystery

Creepy and somewhat believable but just goes on a little bit too long. Hated some of the characters (you'll know who) and was actually rooting for the monster at some point. Not bad for a gritty found footage film.

They should have named the movie "Alex" as they must have used his name over a hundred times throughout the film. This movie is all in subtitles. Don't bother your time with this movie.
