From the writer of Training Day comes a gripping, action-packed cop drama about family, friendship, love, honor and courage. In their mission to abide by their oath to serve and protect, Officers Brian Taylor (Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Peña) have formed a powerful brotherhood to ensure they both make it home at the end of watch. But nothing can prepare them for the violent backlash that happens after they pull over the members of a notorious drug cartel for a routine traffic stop.

I have to say that this was an intense and realistic story of L.A. cops and what they have to deal with every shift. From the beginning chase sequence I was captivated all the way to the end. Have to say, this was a deep movie.

Nice to see a movie which attempts to show a more heroic and well intended sort of idealism with respect to police.

Amazing movie ..best I've seen in a while ..starts a bit slow but keep watching ...fantastic ending ...sad tho
