About this movie

Academy Award-nominee Helena Bonham Carter stars in this beautiful and challenging biography of famed children's author Enid Blyton, whose prolific output made her one of the most successful and widely-read writers of the 20th century. Telling the story of a wife and mother who often struggled to balance those roles with her career, Enid Blyton puts at its center a fascinating historical figure whose complex character stood in powerful contrast to the simplicity of her beloved stories. James Hawes directs.

Without doubt Enid is a controversial movie because the complex personality of the writer's character and life. But, indeed, is a very interesting story over one of the most prolific writers in the world. Many generations of children around the world have been read her books and the new ones continue reading them nowadays. A sweet journey to the nostalgia and a fair tribute.

hbc did a very beautiful job here, it shows you her real excellent performance. i'm a fan of her but i completely hated her for being enid from the bottom of my heart! as a writer, enid did an amazing job for our childhood. but as mother, wife and member of her own family... she failed.
