Three childhood friends, separated after the 1989 Tiananmen Massacre, reunite through Facebook at a bar in Hong Kong. Now all leading lives wrapped in sexual scandals and adultery, they find themselves pining for who they could have been.
Adam, a British-educated banker, boldly goes home with a vain charming woman who is married to the next candidate for the Hong Kong Chief Executive. While Shing, a hairdresser, is having an affair with an older rich woman of his own, though he finds himself more attracted to her son. Ka-Lok, who is a depressed university teacher who spends his time obsessing over the mysterious disappearance of his father. In a series of twists, the three strands unravel just as the former British Colony reaches a post-handover boiling point.
