I wanted less social commentary and more quiet moments with scenes of Havana, a fascinating city. This film has too much erratic, noisy energy. The people of Cuba need help. That's obvious. We don't need to be beat over the head with this. We should have seen more of the ballet school. The Cuban children are talented. More scenes of the children dancing would have been better with less philosophy and wordiness.

Beautifully shot, great feeling for the people, music and the right moment and therefore a super intimate view into the Cuban life. I can see no political agenda whatsoever. The movie leaves room for interpretation for everyone. No one seeing it can ignore the misery the cuban people are forced to live in, but neither can you ignore the beauty and moments of joy you find on that island lost in time. A spectacular document of Cuban realities without any filters.
