Why make a film about a set of books and not be able to finish the films properly. Why was eragon half assed and harry potter wasnt. I prefered reading the inheritance cycle more than f**king potter and his fanny bandit crew. Start over again and dont f**k it up i say.

They shouldn't have named this film after the book as it is only loosely based on it. They messed with the storyline so much so that it would be impossible to make the rest of the books into films. Only 3 decent actors in this film and they are mostly the bad guys. The CGI isn't bad but that's pretty much the only decent part. In my opinion I have given it a very generous rating. Wouldn't say it was worth a watch.

I saw this before I read the book. After reading 1 chapter I was hocked far more than the film did in 10 minutes. The use of magic is good but he doesn't learn a lot of words and suddenly he's command of it is better than anything. The events in the film all happen in what feels like a week. The book months. The only thing they got right was the Shade 100% right, the king was wrong and caused the rest to suffer. Peter Jackson please give this a go and do better.
