About this movie

Escape from Sobibor is the story of the concentration death camp, Sobibor, when during World War 2, a neighboring camp, Treblinka, had a massive prison break. Sobibor's Captain Franz Reichleitner vowed his camp would never experience such a thing. When the Jewish prisoners of Sobibor were spared the ovens they knew they were on borrowed time. Their only hope was to escape, but the question was, when? Knowing full well that Nazis killed an equal number of prisoners to the ones who escaped, all 600 prisoners were as good as dead. Now with a massive breakout planned, the Jews are faced with the idea that if they are successful, all the German officers would be put to death. This begins a rift in the group of escapees as some question whether they are any better than the Germans.
