Loved this movie. A thriller for the brainy sci-fi nerd at heart. Makes you really think of realities of future space exploration. This was def a surprise and had a great realistic story about what it maybe like if mankind did venture past the moon. Too many movies are all about explosions and far fetched alien ideas with mankind fending them off and saving the day. This movie showed the challenges we may encounter and mankinds will and determination to explore the unknown. Whoever says its slow and dumb just doesnt get what this movie is about at all.

This movie is a strange brew. On one hand, the imagery of the planets and stars is amazing, buy on the other hand, the scenes where the astronauts are supposed to floating in zero gravity harken back to SciFi from the sixties. The astronauts looked so ridiculous obviously hanging from cables that I laughed out loud. In that respect, this movie falls far short of Apollo 13. Also, the line that the moon's surface temperature was holding steady at absolute zero was an astounding oversight considering all of the collaboration with NASA. In the end, the bad parts of the movie were so goofy that they were at least entertaining. A solid 3 star rental.

Not as awesome as people make it out to be. You have to suspend a little too much belief to get through the plot holes in this movie. The events that kill people off will make you roll their eyes, because it's not what a human being would do in that situation. It has many of those typical horror movie cliches.
