À propos de ce film

When unmanned probes suggest that a hidden ocean could exist underneath Europa's icy surface and may contain single-celled life, Europa Ventures, a privately funded space exploration company, sends six of the best astronauts from around the world to confirm the data and explore the revolutionary discovery. After a near-catastrophic technical failure leads to loss of communication with Earth and the tragic death of a crew member, the surviving astronauts must overcome the psychological and physical toll of deep space travel, and survive a discovery on Europa more profound than they had ever imagined.

Yet another "found footage" film... from the future. Of all the movies i have watched over 29 years of life this is now my third movie i did not finish. If this was released in any format other than "found footage" i would actually probably enjoy it. EDIT: if you don't know what i mean by "found footage" i mean shakey film, moving back and forth in time and from every couple mins to even every few seconds. aggravating.

It's filmed in the style of a documentary with cutouts to a "press conference" which is pretty annoying. It looks great, but the plot is boring and reminiscent of various other movies of its kind. If you want to waste some time then this is the movie to do it. You probably won't get much enjoyment out of it. I sure didn't.

This movie is a strange brew. On one hand, the imagery of the planets and stars is amazing, buy on the other hand, the scenes where the astronauts are supposed to floating in zero gravity harken back to SciFi from the sixties. The astronauts looked so ridiculous obviously hanging from cables that I laughed out loud. In that respect, this movie falls far short of Apollo 13. Also, the line that the moon's surface temperature was holding steady at absolute zero was an astounding oversight considering all of the collaboration with NASA. In the end, the bad parts of the movie were so goofy that they were at least entertaining. A solid 3 star rental.
