Its name: EVENT HORIZON. The high-tech, pioneering research spacecraft mysteriously vanished, without a trace, on its maiden voyage seven years earlier. But a weak, persistent signal form the long-missing craft prompts a rescue team, headed by the intrepid Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne, THE MATRIX and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III), to wing its way through the galaxy on a bold rescue mission. Accompanying Miller is his elite crew and the lost ship's designer (Sam Neill, JURASSIC PARK), their mission is to find and salvage the state-of-the-art interstellar horror. Kathleen Quinlan (APOLLO 13) and Joely Richardson (TVﾒs NIP/TUCK) also star in this gripping sci-fi thriller.

Hints of Hellraiser,Silent Hill, and the Shining. Really liked the gothic look of the ship. Some moments were unintentionally hilarious though, and I wished there was more footage of the 'hell' the captain saw, just to drive the madness and horror of it a bit further. Overall, solid horror film.

Now we have the base for a new step in ski-fi movies..... Maybe the best one after 2001 space .... Extraordinary and unique view of the univerce from the perspective of the diamensions

Именно таким должен быть фильм ужасов на космическую тематику. Пугают не монстры. Пугает непознанное. Все остальное - антураж. Фильм держит в напряжении все время. Супер. Рекомендую.
