關於這部電影

Its name: EVENT HORIZON. The high-tech, pioneering research spacecraft mysteriously vanished, without a trace, on its maiden voyage seven years earlier. But a weak, persistent signal form the long-missing craft prompts a rescue team, headed by the intrepid Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne, THE MATRIX and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III), to wing its way through the galaxy on a bold rescue mission. Accompanying Miller is his elite crew and the lost shipメs designer (Sam Neill, JURASSIC PARK), their mission is to find and salvage the state-of-the-art interstellar horror. Back to electrify-and terrify-is EVENT HORIZON, now as a two-disc Special Collection DVD that contains never-before-seen special features, including a five-part documentary on the making of this unforgettable motion picture. Kathleen Quinlan (APOLLO 13) and Joely Richardson (TVメs NIP/TUCK) also star in this gripping sci-fi thriller.

A lot of people say it was crap but I liked it a lot. People miss the point that this is a psychological thriller as much as anything. I can't stress that enough because it explains most scenes. It was meant to be unconventional - the ship went outside our known universe and was designed by an eccentric. What do you expect? I love the atmosphere and feel of the movie and the fact that it was the only movie I know of that was set anywhere near Neptune - in the upper atmosphere of Neptune. Moar Neptune! We need to explore the potential of these places, at least in the movies. They should keep exploring new realms - see Avatar. During the movie I got the feeling that anything could happen. Laurence Fishburne was great as usual and I'm always interested in anything with Sam Neill.

A classic sci-fi horror movie. Short on storyline but not bad for the genre.

Save yourself from hell but still a bloody good flick.
