I enjoyed it, I was very skeptical at first but relating to the characters and the hardship experienced climbing and the families you leave behind by pushing the limits. I always enjoy climbing movies and the drama involved but the acting was okay, and story line acceptable but how many ways can you tell a climbing story. Grab some popcorn sit back, just enjoy it for what it is.

Somewhat formulaic but interesting all the same. Wonderful scenery shots (cgi or not) that give you a sense of the scales involved.

I started the movie reliving a trip up the Everest trail in 2006. I wanted to be there in the movie, climb the mountain, beat the challenge. When a guy slipped on the ice wall I decided it wasn't for me! 15-25% chance of dying. I don't need to prove myself on a mountain... In the words of Bear Grylls "there has to be more to life than this". A tragic loss of life
