RELYING ON MADONNAS PERFORMANCE TO MAKE THE ENTIRE FILM BELIEVABLE (ITS A TRAVISTY WHEN SOMETHING BASED ON ACTUAL EVENTS SEEMS FARCE) THE AUDIENCE HERE HOWEVER IS NEVER PULL OUT OF THE ERA , THE CINEMA IN SCENE 1 IS WHERE WE REMAIN

Not Madonna fan, she deserved to be awarded the Oscar. She was robbed. She wasn't even nominated. This is one of my all time favorite films, the cast was outstanding. The music, one of Andrew Lloyd Weber's very best. Madonna captivated my attention throughout the film, terrific acting.

Amazing performances by Madonna and Antonio Banderas. Excellent film and the soundtrack is awesome, too. Madonna won the Golden Globe that year and was blatantly robbed of even an Oscar nomination. A fascinating movie. Very well done.
