Need to know the story already to make sense out of part of it. It was hard for my teenage daughter to follow because she wasn't familiar with the story.

Movies based on musicals are risky, but Evita pulls it off nicely. It tells an interesting story in a way that is still recognizably theatrical, but works. Biggest surprise: Banderas can sing!

I loved this film and the soundtrack. Someone needs to make a proper biopic of eva peron tho. No musical and in english,as there are Spanish language biopics of her already.
