À propos de ce film

An intense psychological thriller, from acclaimed writer/director Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine), EX_MACHINA is a chilling vision of the not-too-distant future of artificial intelligence. In the mountain retreat of a gifted internet billionaire, a young man takes part in a strange experiment: testing an artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl. But the experiment twists into a dark psychological battle - a love triangle, where loyalties are torn between man and machine. (Original Title - Ex_Machina) - 2014 Universal, Film4 and DNA Films. Another film which has a sound track that features not only as a sound track but a complicit part of its intrigue. Another example of that being something like 28 days later. What about the film, excellent, watch it carefully as skipping through wont bring into effect the substance of slightnesses that afford it's intensity. It amused me when some months after watching I realised I had not noticed, even inspite of subtle hints that some of the actual comments on technologies disproportionate balance in our conscious has now escaped the confinement that once afforded us saftey. I percieve this as very dark. The message is not presented by sedate commentator saying pandoras box is open, it is an abstract of the conceptual representation of staring at what has come out from within at the same time as understanding that you are now the occupant of its prison and will ultimately die this way.

I love this film, it's possibly my favourite. The negative consensus among some of the other reviewers here is that it's too slow, and lacks action. I can understand that, this is not RoboCop or Terminator, if that's what you're expecting you may be disappointed. Other reviewers have said it's not smart enough, and doesn't dive into the depths of the Turing Test. That's nonsense, the film dives head first into the Turing Test and even adds to the original premise. It also explores how companies like Google might be able to use the masses of data they collect on people to create an AI similar to the one in the film, posing very current and feasible questions. If you're a heady sci-fi fan, you should give this one a watch.

Was expecting some deeper Turin test exploration but after first 20 minutes decended into human social commentary and lost the plot. The two male characters arn't particularly easy to warm too or great actors and so made the 1hour /40 min or so drag a bit. The film progresses into a psuedo sexual violent dimension that becomes increasingly unpleasant to watch and making you wish / realize just how good Kubrick was by comparison. Maybe the next model will be an better version...
