Saw this on the youtube channel, Looper, which I get alot of good hidden gems from. This came up as underrated scifi because it was released within a few weeks of the Matrix. So this was painful to get through. It was pretty awful and I watch movies all the time. I'd rank this as a C flick, since its worse than a B movie.

hilarious, awkward, and deeply creepy - one of Cronenberg's best films. And because the technology is so strange, the movie remains modern feeling instead of 90s- dated like Jonny Mnemonic or even The Matrix.

Great film. Not as good as "Strange Days" or "the 13th Floor" but if you like those or films like inception, dark city, altered states, the matrix and so on you'll like this.
