I vehemently refuse to watch any religious movie from Hollywood, bc they have to put some kind of flare to make it glorify humans in some way, and in the end compromise the integrity of the original story. There was so much wrong with this movie...ugh. I'm disgusted the writers thought the original story wasn't good enough. If they felt like it needed doctored on, they shouldn't have made it....don't listen to the supporters who are all like "accept Jesus as your savior" that is NOT going to save this.

There are many other movies which fall into the same abyss which "Exodus" finds itself in. They take an account which is (since 95 % of the Earth's population believe in a divine being, let's call this historical since it is for a huge slice of that 95%) either historical or supposed to be historical and in far too many ways the film maker gets everything wrong about the history of the person or event. In this case, both are completely wrong. If you are going to make a movie which is supposed to be historical, fine, but as in this case...if you are going to take a person or event or both and BASE an otherwise complete work of fiction on that historical event or person and put it forth as representative of that person/event then preempt the film by saying so. Far too many things are historically wrong or just plain made up in this instance. Also, for one's life there just doesn't seem to be any "meat" to the movie. No "anchor", nothing which grips you and makes you want to invest the time needed to watch the movie start to finish. No real development of any of the characters...and Mr. Scott had PLENTY of time to do so. I found myself not emotionally invested at all.

I keep hearing that there's a tons of controversy of Bale portraying Moses and made Moses a warrior. Fact is, we have to accept that we don't know everything about Moses. During his exile, nobody knows what happened to him or where he is. There's no records of him since his time in Egypt. So to bash someone else for their opinion on how Moses might've and could've actually been is ridiculous. We all know the Bible is a sham, there is no true God and it was written by drunks with wild over imaginations.
