In their makeshift laboratory, three boys use an amazing discovery and their ingenuity to build their own spaceship and launch themselves on a fantastic interplanetary journey.

Good movie, but another example of a casualty of the Hollywood Studio system. It could have been great, up there with E.T. or Flight of the Navigator, except that it was rushed, unfinished, into cinemas. This shows particularly in the ending which drags and feels awkward. Still has some great moments, and definitely worth watching.

Would be even better if it had subtitles
