...the disturbing rape scene and having Sally's ghastly horrific facial expressions permanently burned into my memory. She certainly knows how to scrunch her face to express absolute pain, terror, and despair. It appears to just crumple. Since Google does not allow posting an unrated review, I'm assigning the rating I think most fair. Although this movie imposes upon me an intense feeling of discomfort, it's for that very reason - of arousing such strong emotions - I believe it deserves my given rating.

Overwhelmingly tragic & emotional & keeps the pace straight through the movie! The lengths she goes to do the jobs of everyone in the justice system that let the monster go, is so heartbreaking but courageous & fierce as only a parental figures lovebcan be! *LOVE the ending!

Sally Field is such an amazing actress she carried this movie. The husband was garbage - he wanted her to get over her child being murdered. I didn't like how cold he was. The ending was very weak.
