Filmen ”Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” tar sin början 1926 med Newt Scamander som just har avslutat en global exkursion för att hitta och dokumentera en extraordinär samling magiska varelser. Han anländer till New York för ett kort stopp, och kunde ha kommit och gått utan incidenter ... om det inte vore för en No-Maj (amerikanska för mugglare) som heter Jacob, en felplacerad magisk väska och att några av Newts fantastiska varelser tagit till flykten, vilka kan skapa problem för både trollkarlar och No-Maj.

Having grown up with the Harry Potter books and movies I gotta say, I really love that they have taken some note worthy characters and given some more insight on their impact on the Wizarding world. Especially liked that it takes place in America since I have always wondered what the Wizarding situation was like here. The creatures were captivating although some I don't recall being mentioned in any of the HP books. I'd love to see more movies like this, based in Eastern Europe or SE asia.

It's a movie that features action and is PG-13. I'd give it a 2 but it's pretty whatchable as a one off HP story.

Great! Loved it! A little dark halfway through but what Harry Potter movie isn't? The creatures were well designed all the way through, and the story was awesome! Newt has to be my personal favorite because I can relate to him on so many levels. Totally recommend for 12+ at least.
