About this movie

From the director of The Bourne Identity comes this riveting thriller inspired by the experiences of real-life CIA officer Valerie Plame (Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts). When Plame's retired ambassador husband Joe Wilson (played by Academy Award winner Sean Penn) writes a newspaper article challenging the basis for the U.S. war on Iraq, the White House leaks Plame's undercover status-leaving her international contacts vulnerable, her career in shambles and her life in danger. Crackling with sharp dialogue, gripping intrigue and heart-pounding suspense, Fair Game is the adventure that's so unbelievable, it can only be real.

Decent story line. It's played up to be dramatic when it's not really. Acting is ok and I do like movie based on real people and their stories. However there is somthing missing from this movie that leaves you thinking what is the real reason we went to war with Iraq.

I thought that this was a pretty good movie. It clearly showed how people and agendas that are considered less important to those in positions of power or authority, are easily dismissed as expendable. It, also showed how complicated intelligence analysis can be.

Great movie overall. Very impressed on several levels: (a) acting by Naomi Watts and Sean Penn was great (hint, the last 20-30 minutes is really really good!) (b) cinematic approach to the subject matter was very well done. Ties in aspects of family life, lives of each of the two main characters as individuals, their professional lives, world / political issues, as well as actual video clips from the time period - all balanced well together Overall excellent execution of a story and delivery of good underlying lessons.
