Velhomaailman luojan, J.K. Rowlingin, mielikuvituksesta saapuu Ihmeotukset-elokuvasarja, jonka taianomaiset seikkailut sijoittuvat Harry Potteria edeltävälle aikakaudelle. Ensimmäisen elokuvan lopussa AYT (Amerikan Yhdysvaltain taikakongressi) vangitsi voimakkaan pimeyden velhon Gellert Grindelwaldin (Johnny Depp) Lisko Scamanderin (Eddie Redmayne) avulla. Mutta toteuttaakseen uhkauksensa Grindelwald pakeni ja ryhtyi kokoamaan kannattajajoukkoa, josta valtaosa ei osaa aavistaakaan hänen todellisia aikeitaan: nostaa valtaan puhdasveriset velhot hallitsemaan kaikkia ei-taikovia. Estääkseen Grindelwaldin suunnitelmat Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) värvää avukseen entisen oppilaansa Lisko Scamanderin, joka suostuu auttamaan tietämättömänä uhkaavista vaaroista. Rakkauden ja uskollisuuden rajat joutuvat koetukselle jopa lähimpien ystävien ja perheen keskuudessa, kun velhomaailma jakautuu yhä vahvemmin kahtia.

Arviot ja arvostelut

Very hard narrative to follow. The only redeeming quality I saw was the CG. At least the 'Fantastic Beasts' were well done, but beyond that I wish I didn't buy it.

What a gas! My Brother's and I, with the same Cinematography equipment, which the Dunn Brother's borrow, to even things out, could be on a level playing field, could scrounge together better actors, for the joy of producing a masterpiece as aposed to this fiasco. :-(

I don't understand the hate this movie received. Is it the best movie in the world...no..... is it the worst movie in the world... Absolutely not. I think this is much darker than all the previous movies (wizarding world). Depp is menacing as Grindelwald and for me, the highlight of the movie. Followed closely behind Law as Dumbledore. I would say, do give it a watch. And I can't wait for the next one. 👍
