Mulligan plays Bathsheba Everdene, an independent heiress who attracts three very different suitors: a strapping sheep farmer (Matthias Schoenaerts), a handsome and reckless Sergeant (Tom Sturridge), and a prosperous mature bachelor (Michael Sheen).
