Oscar nominated Carey Mulligan stars as a headstrong young woman in this passionate romantic drama, based on the literary classic by Thomas Hardy. Mulligan plays Bathsheba Everdene, an independent heiress who attracts three very different suitors: a strapping sheep farmer (Matthias Schoenaerts), a handsome and reckless Sergeant (Tom Sturridge), and a prosperous mature bachelor (Michael Sheen).

Graderings en resensies

Nope. Not good. A plethora of long awkward pauses, followed by a weak slow plot. It's not all bad though, the actors aren't doing a terrible job, they're just let down by frustratingly predictable situations. I'd say this film in generally uninteresting.

This movie was awful. I feel like they should have paid me .99 cents to watch it. Matthias Schoenaerts was the only thing good about it and that's because he didn't have very many lines and was nice to look at.

I over all liked it even though it was predictable. The trailer showed the most dramatic scenes .... except ONE!!! I would say for sure worth the watch on a rainy day 👍
