Comedian and health writer Tom Naughton replies to the “Super Size Me” crowd by losing weight on a fat-laden fast-food diet while demonstrating that nearly everything we've been told about obesity and healthy eating is wrong. Along with some delicious parody of “Super Size Me,” Naughton serves up plenty of no-bologna facts that will stun most viewers. Saturated fat doesn't cause heart disease. Sugars, refined grains and processed vegetable oils do. Having low cholesterol is unhealthy and is linked to cancer and stroke. Low-fat diets can lead to depression and type II diabetes. The diet recommended by the USDA will make you fat. Losing weight isn’t about counting calories. It’s about controlling the hormones that make you fat. This film features humorous animations as well as informative interviews with doctors and researchers.

So glad I found this in the Google Play Store. I own the DVD and have gifted several to friends and family. Great introduction to the politics and ineptitude that is modern nutrition research. After watching I suggest buying Gary Taubes' Good Calories, Bad Calories: Fats, Carbs, and the Controversial Science of Diet and Health.

I had a feeling Spurlock was full of shit so I watched this. I was correct. Spurlock will sat anything and mislead you however he can to sell you his line of bullshit.

If you care at all about proper diet, the effects of fast food on diet, and the obesity crisis, this film is an absolute Must See. Naughton is far funnier, far more personable, and far better researched than Spurlock, and this film puts "Super Size Me" to shame!
