About this movie

Fat Pizza vs Housos is the story of two worlds colliding. The fully sick world of the Fat Pizza restaurant and its subwoofer-loving staff meets the houso-dwelling residents of Sunnyvale, a suburb where tattoos, Ugg boots and thongs are compulsory. The story starts with pizza chef Bobo Gigliotti (Johnny Boxer) being released from prison after 15 years. His crime? Chainsawing a health inspector. Bobo and his Mama (Maria Venuti) are now in search of a new place to set up the pizza shop. However, the rent in Australia has skyrocketed in the last decade, so the Gigliottis have only one affordable option: Sunnyvale. Bobo sets about reuniting his old staff, the wild crew of Pauly (Paul Fenech), Habib (Tahir Bilgic) and Sleek the Elite (Paul Nakad). Unfortunately for Bobo, Habib starts moving drugs through the pizza shop, and has amalgamated his local clique with an assortment of other gangs to create the first ever ‘Sunnyvale International Brotherhood’. This sparks a turf war with the Hunters, the local Sunnyvale bikie gang, who have recently had their motorcycles confiscated under the new state anti-bikie laws. Initially, the shop isn’t turning a profit, so Mama Gigliotti uses her cousin Renzo Gigliotti (Renzo Bellato) - who works at CentreLink - to create a “Work for the Dole” scheme that will benefit the shop, getting people to deliver pizzas and work in the kitchen. She also convinces CentreLink to adopt a voucher system whereby the housos get their pensions paid out in pizzas instead of money. Shazza (Elle Dawe) crusades against these insulting rorts to the best of her ability, Franky and Kev (Pauly Fenech and Kevin Taumata) try their level best to destroy the pizza shop, and, amongst all this, the police are cracking down on all the dodgy activities going on in Sunnyvale. How could anything go wrong? It’s big, it’s cheesy, it’s wearing thongs and it’s coming at you in a stolen car covered in flannelette: Fat Pizza vs Housos. 2014 Stolen Productions Pty Ltd
