In this film version of the stage musical, based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, Tevye the Milkman is a Jewish peasant in pre-Revolutionary Russia trying to support his family and maintain his Jewish tradition under a Czar that would like to run his people out of town. Tremendous songs and memorable dance sequences make this film a true classic.

This is one of the best movies that tells about the traditions of the Jews and their hardships while in Eastern Europe. A tragidy told with song and humour. A Wonderful film that I watched over 15 times so far. I give an Oscar to Hayem Tobul.

Increíble historia y muy buena actuación de cada uno de los personajes. La he visto en diferentes momentos, es decir varios años y cambios en el día a día, y siempre me resulta interesante, divertida y realista a la situación de los pueblos que son sometidos por otros

Es la historia mas maravillosa de un padre y su lucha por conservar la tradición pero por amor no lo sigue no entiendo como nunca hicieron un remarque como otras películas ( Mujercitas por ejemplos) vale la pena verla
