关于此电影

Sick of his dead end, white bread, corporate career and disgusted with the empty consumer culture of his generation, a confused young man serendipitously meets Tyler Durden. Together they create a new club where young men come to relieve their frustrations by beating each other to a pulp. Two rules govern the club: no more than two men per fight and no one is to mention fight club to any outsiders. Reverse-psychology proves it's power, as the latter rule instantaneously spreads the news of fight club throughout the underworld sub-culture. Tyler Durden, the ringleader, quickly becomes a cult hero of epic proportions, a new messiah for a dead generation. Meanwhile, Jack manages to get involved in a twisted love triangle with Tyler and a girl named Marla, who is also at odds with reality.

This film sticks with you, the lines run through your head at work, the characters cling to your mind's eye for a long time after seeing it because it just makes sense and speaks a lot of truth about people's disenchantment with modern life. Every man is potentially Tyler Durden, this will excite and awaken your dulled senses, and remember some of the political elements of the story are based on the writer's own experiences.

Video, DVD (five copies), Blueray, iPad and now an Android copy. This is my desert island film. Speaking for a generation of white collar workers, the charismatic, engaging Tyler Durden knows what we all want even if we don't. Exemplary performances from Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, Helena Bonham-Carter and Jared Leto, not to mention a superlative characteriseation of Bob, by Meatloaf all come together to make this film a must- have classic.

How I haven't seen this film before now astonishes me. It's a true masterpiece and I'd recommend this to anyone with a liking toward niche, independent films. Even though this isn't either of those, it plays out like one because it's quite unique. I drew my interest in this film after watching The Painted Veil, which Edward Norton starred in.
