John Embling is a dedicated teacher trying to make a difference in the world of education. Surrounded by struggling students from a working-class suburb, his job is challenged by a daily routine of unruly tempers, abusive language, violent threats and the alarming influence of drugs and crime on the adolescents under his charge.
