Ratings and reviews

Visually stunning film even now, but back when it was originally released my jaw hit the floor. Many criticise the plot, but I thought it was generally pretty good. My main advice would be not to go into this film expecting Final Fantasy - taken on its own it's a pretty good film. If you watch it hoping for the normal Final Fantasy links (crystals, chocobos, summons, etc etc.) then you're (understandably) setting yourself up for disappointment.
