(This mini-review may appear elsewhere under the name "Amy McLean" or "Amy McLean - Super Ink Arts") My eyes are peppered with tears. I'm a great admirer of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, I always love a literary biopic, and I'm a bit in love with Johnny Depp, so Finding Neverland sounded right up my street. Thankfully, I was not disappointed! It depicts the story of Barrie's encounter with the Llewelyn Davies boys and the journey that eventually led to the creation of Peter Pan, arguably the most notable of the writer's works. There's an incredibly heartwarming moment on a bench between Depp's Barrie and Freddie Highmore's young Peter that is sure to make you cry, and the way in which the movie represents Edwardian London and its society is breathtaking. If you can't find Neverland, at least find this film; it's a stunning masterpiece, and I can't recommend it enough.
